Artist Profile: Holly Hendry

Sculpture that opens up what lies beneath the surface.

My role: Direction, Editor

Holly Hendry discusses sculpture as a way of exposing layers, cavities and the structures we usually cannot see. Close views of her work show how colour and apparently playful forms meet ideas about bodies and industrial processes.

Natalie Rudd interviewed Hendry at Longside Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, in May 2021. The film was made for the Arts Council Collection touring exhibition Breaking the Mould: Sculpture by Women Since 1945.
