Mapping the City

Three interwoven stories, played out across Hull from the station to the sea.

Mapping the City production photograph

Slung Low took the audience through Hull, following three stories about memory and the places people leave behind. Headphones carried the sound while the action unfolded in streets, on rooftops and beside the water. A vintage bus and departures by speedboat made the journey part of the performance.

The video and projection used the city itself as a surface. Clouds, silhouettes and changing images appeared around the performers, bringing another layer of the story into familiar architecture.
