Kaleidoscope: Tess Jaray Interview

Colour, pattern and the illusion of depth.

My role: Direction, Editor

In her studio, Tess Jaray discusses how a painting can suggest space without describing a recognisable place. Her colour studies and repeated forms sit alongside a closer look at St Stephen's Way, made in 1964.

Made for Arts Council Collection's Kaleidoscope exhibition, the interview connects her early work with her wider approach to painting and the influence of Italian architecture.
