Touched
A hundred days in Nottingham, between VE Day and VJ Day.
My role: Projection Design
Stephen Lowe's play follows a group of Nottingham women through the hundred days between the end of the war in Europe and the end of the war in Japan. Matt Aston's 2017 production marked forty years since its premiere at Nottingham Playhouse.
The projection moves between factory floors, terraced streets, domestic rooms and maps of the city. A running day count places these ordinary lives against the events of 1945, while the forest and tree imagery brings a different scale to the stage.
