Zak Ové at YSP

Eighty figures standing together in the Yorkshire landscape.

My role: Direction, Editor

Zak Ové's Black and Blue: The Invisible Men and the Masque of Blackness places eighty identical figures in the landscape at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Their repeated forms turn an open lawn into a gathering that visitors can move through.

This short film introduces the installation and Ové's account of its connection to African identity and the diaspora. It accompanied the work's presentation at YSP in 2017.
